With this song, Måneskin earned the right to represent Italy at Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, winning the San Remo 2021 Song Festival, where they later won the competition with a total of 524 points.

It is the band's second song to reach the top 20 on the UK singles chart, and the first to reach the top 10 and top 5, as well as the second to reach the top 10 on the Billboard worldwide chart other than the U.S. chart.
On July 16, 2021, the song was officially released on Italian radio stations as the third single from Teatro d'ira: Vol. I.
